Poll results.

The results are in!
This proved to be a hugely (not) popular (not) question... "How long is a piece of string?"
With a massive 42% of the votes (3 votes) the answer was "Yes!".
So, how long is a piece of string? Yes!

GOGOGOGOGOGO!!!!!! Stop...

Ahhh! That's better.
Been one hell of a week. At Kaisercraft we have just moved the entire company into a new premises. It has been mayhem. Six AM starts, 10 - 11PM finishes. I am tired and satisfied in equal parts.
What a team we have, almost without exception everyone just got stuck in, worked as a team, and got the job done. The unspoken boundaries that seperate departments disappeared and it was simply one unit working toward one goal. I am so proud of everyone. No wonder Kaisercraft keeps producing such awesome products - with a team like that, we are bound to!
Personally, I am knackered. It has been a pretty full-on couple of months - organising the new Kaiser shop, then getting the workshop ready for the 100 to 1 scrap off, and then, with barely a moment to catch one's breath, it was the big move.
It's tiring just thinking about it!
Anyway, back to my scotch and coke; a drink well earned. Cheers.
XO

"Anzac. More than a name" My 30 minute Layout

So, here it is... my 30 minute LO.
I was really happy with how it was going, and then...
I got to about the 28 minute mark and panicked. The bit with the journaling was done in the last 2 minutes and I HATE it. I don't like how it is a block the same size of the photo, it shouldn't be.
So yeah. That's it. Try and picture it without that bit, I think it would look alot better.

The journaling is a bit hard to read. It says;"Your name is Anzac! Be proud. I want you to understand why we live in a free country... and I want to instill in you the values of those who fought and died for us... COURAGE, MATESHIP, SELF SACRIFICE. BE the best you can be."

Rebecca (who IS high maintenance).

Just for those wondering who 'Rebecca' is who features on my poll "Is Rebecca high maintenance"... She is in product development at Kaisercraft. There is a link to her blog on my page here - she is 'Just me being me".

You can't have 'scrap' without 'crap'!

And I intend to produce some crap tonight.
I'm going to scrap a layout, but in accordance with Kaisercraft's 100 to 1 rules, I'm going to set myself 30 minutes to complete it. It could get ugly.
Watch this space for a photo of whatever it is that I produce...
PS. Trin and I are getting along famously.

Kaisercraft's 100 to 1

Yesterday was the first ever Kaisercraft 100 to 1 scrapbooking competition. What a great day. I was lucky enough to 'MC' the day - a duty that isn't entirely within my comfort zone, but soemthing that I really enjoyed. I couldn't believe the quality of the work that the girls produced in such a short time frame (and with the cameras on them!).
It was an awesome day, showcasing what I think will be one of Australia's best scrapbooking workshop spaces, and on top of that, $1500 was raised to help the kiddies.
Happy days!

PS

My beautiful little Lola Pearl walked this week!

Guys hurt too.

My wife and I split up a couple of months ago, well, I split up with her. It doesnt mean it's not hard for me. I'm sure it is alot tougher for her, but... yeah...
It's strange being alone after 8 years together. I once loved my own company, now I'm not so sure. Going to bed alone is the worst part, not touching someone elses leg with mine. I miss that.
The emotions are the hardest part I think. Emotions are draining. You don't have to actually 'do' anything to be exhausted at the end of the day. Funny that.
Maybe I'll scrap a break up page, or maybe not.
I told the design girls at Kaisercraft (where I work) a while back (before the break-up) that we should design a 'Broken Heart' album... I reckon it could work. But they thought it was a crap idea. Never mind.
Anyway, tomorrow's another day.
